welcome to our sponsor
That's why I'm pleased to welcome the newest sponsor to Where We Live Work Play.
Compassion and integrity is at the forefront of New Wave Home Care's ethos and is ingrained in the hearts of its compassionate caregivers, offering basic and advanced levels of personal care throughout the San Gabriel Valley in cities like Pasadena, Temple City, Arcadia, Monterrey Park and more.
New Wave Home Care's compassionate beginning
Sam was in India's Kerala State during the tsunami that struck in 2004 and he had the chance to assist survivors. The experience stuck with him and he saw an opportunity in 2010 to start his company.
Today, New Wave has 50 employees and compassion is one of the most important traits that are sought. Like Sam told me, "You can teach certain skills or the helpers come with their own competent skill levels. But you can't teach compassion. It comes from the heart."
New Wave begins each visit to a client with a home assessment and offers safety tips and learns what types of activities the loved one enjoys. Careful attention is paid to what will help the client thrive and be comfortable in one's own home.
Sam said his staff is patient in helping career adults provide the care needed for senior loved ones. He also said that his youngest client is in his 20s. Respite care is also available for spouses or younger couples who need time away to relax and rejuvenate.
New Wave Home Care's main office is in Pasadena.
